Old police photos from Quirky Prints

Old police photos have a definite ‘Dixon of Dock Green’ feel about them, definitely more stylish than the cop photos of today. It seems hard to believe that it was only seventy or so years ago, that policemen plodded their local beats, with only a baton as their defence! And among the many old black and white, sepia and hand coloured photographs that were collected, were some amusing and quirky vintage framed pictures from years gone by.

Traffic is halted by a policeman, as a cat casually and defiantly crosses the road, a policeman is caught striding along the street with a cello in his arms and a laughing policeman poses proudly in his uniform. All are captured in evocative colour or black and white photographic detail.

These old, forgotten, but delightful old police photos, make stunning framed pictures.
