Vintage pub photos From Quirky Prints

Vintage pub photos provide an enduring reminder of this great British institution. Visitors to our shores frequently comment that there is nothing quite like the English pub to be found anywhere else in the world.

Pubs that still do business at a local 'community' level are very much part of the social fabric. They are a place to meet friends and neighbours, a focal point for various community activities, and a source of local information and contacts. The search for suitable old black and white photographs, took them to hundreds of antique shops, collectors’ fairs, vintage photograph dealers and specialists around the country.

The resulting collection is literally thousands of hand picked vintage photographs, on all manner of topics, including landscapes, people, shops, far flung civilizations and transport from years ago. And amongst the numerous old black and white photographs, hand coloured and sepia photographs that were collected, were some fascinating and quirky vintage pub photos from years gone by.

Within the dedicated PUBS & BREWERIES category on their website, Quirky Prints offers a selection of these unique vintage photographs. Old wooden beer kegs are loaded onto horse drawn carts, smart barmen pose behind the gleaming brass pumps of their pub, and tiny local pubs, which were the heart of the community, are caught on camera. All are captured in evocative colour or black and white photographic detail.

These old, forgotten, but delightful vintage photographs, make stunning framed pictures.
